Doctor Appointments
Appointments with a doctor can be booked by calling the surgery from 8:00am each morning.
We understand that our telephone lines can be very busy, particularly at the start of the day. Please be assured that our reception team works hard to answer as many calls as possible.
In addition to same-day appointments, a limited number of appointments are available to book up to two weeks in advance.
Nurse Appointments
Appointments with our nursing team can be booked in advance. Please contact the surgery to arrange a convenient time.
Home Visits
If you feel that you require a home visit, please contact the surgery before 9:30am whenever possible.
When requesting a home visit, please provide details of the problem and its urgency. Most medical problems can be assessed more effectively at the surgery or in hospital, and home visits are reserved for patients who are genuinely unable to attend the practice.
Telephone Advice
In some situations, a telephone consultation may be more appropriate than a face-to-face appointment.
If you require advice about a medical problem or medication, please call the surgery as early as possible in the morning so that your request can be passed to a doctor promptly.
Medical Emergencies
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, such as:
- Chest pain
- Severe bleeding
- Suspected stroke
- Loss of consciousness
- Serious breathing difficulties
Please call 999 immediately.
Test Results
If you are calling for test results, please telephone between 10:00am and 12 noon.
This allows our team to prioritise urgent morning calls and ensures that any results received that day are available before you contact us.
